23rd Annual OHNNG Conference Brisbane 2019
2019 will see out 23rd OHHNG national conference held in Brisbane from Friday 22nd March to Sunday 24th March, at the award winning Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre adjacent to the beautiful South Bank complex on the Brisbane River.
The Brisbane conference is always a substantial one with a large number of delegates and an exciting vibe and this meeting promises to be even more popular with our participation in a paediatric airway preconference workshop and a focus on improving and developing advanced communications skills, so useful in our professional and personal lives.
Again in 2019 we are grateful to partner with ASOHNS both at the venue, the social events and subsequent access to their program. The chosen ASOHNS international speakers and the calibre and experience of the conveners guarantee excellent and varied content. The opportunity to participate in both the surgical and nursing programs is unique to our group and is certainly highly valued by past conference participants.
We hope to bring some novel concepts to this conference by including nursing speakers to offer nursing consideration in relation to some of the invited surgical speakers topics. Open forums and discussion topics will allow even greater networking and professional development than we have previously offered.
For many and various reasons this conference will be of value to the novice and the advanced practice ENT H&N nurse.
I encourage you to commence discussions with your workplace to ensure your participation at this conference.
Accommodation close to the venue is abundant and varied in price. Public transport via rail or bus is extremely convenient to the BCEC and it is a delightful walk to the city. Staying off site with a group of colleagues would be both financially attractive, rewarding and fun!
If you are a paediatric nurse – attendance at the Paediatric Airway Workshop would certainly be recommended. Registration for this course is via the ASOHNS website.
The social events associated with this conference include the Welcome Reception on Friday evening and the Gala Dinner on Saturday night, both of which are included with (full) conference registration. The popular Park Run organisation offer a 5km run along the river and through the botanical gardens if you wish to participate on Saturday morning.

I look forward to seeing you in Brisbane in March.
